My good friend Paul Scott has just released a CD for all you accordion lovers out there. Pauls musical talents include Keyboard and Drums, but his first love is the accordion. I travelled down to Lewisham in London with Paul to collect his favoured model which is the highly rated Hohner Atlantic (pictured) and this combined with his own backing on Keyboard results in a great sounding CD . Tracks include a Scottish selection, Latin, Spanish, Alpine, Ceilidh and various waltzes. At £6.00 per cd, this easy listening selection is a must for all accordion lovers or as a gift. Will be sending a copy to Keith Greentree of Rodeo Norfolk as many tracks are worthy of a play on St Patricks day, notably "The Fields of Athenry. Well done Paul!

The next Pat James & Friends club event on 11th March will have a heavy Irish slant as we will be celebrating St Patricks Day a few days early. Gordon James is our guest singer and you are invited to wear Irish colours, dress, or fancy dress as Fairies or Lepracauns

My thanks to Roy and Carol for booking me for an evening at Felmingham Village Hall, Nr North Walsham. Around 52 people attended and we had a lovely night together. I was joined on stage by my mate Bobby Graham who accompanied my vocals with live guitar. Thanks Bobby, appreciated. Nice folks and good to meet up again with some friends I hadn't seen for some time. a little low on numbers, but with other local events going on, quite a good turnout.

Fakenham Community Centre

Had a terrific night with everyone who turned out for a Valentines Dance at Fakenham Community Centre on 11th Feb. Many of those who came along I recognised from East Barsham Village Hall Music nights put on by Kathy, Norman and Family. Nice to see all those folks again after being out for a year. Another one coming up at this venue on April 14th. really looking forward to another night with these lovely people who made Sue and I so welcome. I only discovered on the night that April 14th sees another event taking place at East Barsham and we run the risk of each venue having lower turnouts as a result. Never mind. Hope to see all of my East Barsham friends this coming New Years Eve. Thanks to Glenn for his help with my gear on arrival. Brilliant Buffet and Raffle you guys!

Charity Event at Loddon in July

Dick and Eileen Bloor who run R & B Entertainments have just arranged a Charity evening at Jubilee Hall in Loddon, Norfolk. All profits from this event will go towards Air Ambulance. I will be joining the very popular Susan Jayne in providing the entertainment and my good friend Terry Mitchell will be compere. A nice venue and hopefully an attendance that will raise a good amount for Air Ambulance. Ticket prices to be announced shortly. A licensed bar is available and light snacks should be available. Railway Club Ipswich

Enjoyed a night with lots of friends at Ipswich Railway Club. It was Joy Smith's birthday party and with Steve Alan sharing the entertainment with me, the night was a big success. The pictures from this night are now posted on my gallery if you wish to take a look. This club is greatly in need of additional support, both practical and financial. Value these places or lose them to expensive pubs owned by the big breweries. A long time getting home for both me and Susan, Steve, Margaret and Ruby as the driving snow and conditions on the roads meant a 2 hour drive back to Norwich. Never mind, home safely.

Had a lovely night at Arkwrights Club in Norwich on 29th Jan. First Country music event we have organised at this venue with myself and Bobby Graham. Thanks to all who attended and will keep you posted as to the next one. A pleasure to work with Bobby ( pictured here with his horse Coco) and we hope to make this a regular event.
