Coming up Soon. Johnny Marks at Pat James Club

Looking forward to Sunday 24th March at my club event hosted by the Wensum Valley Hotel and Country Club
3pm start as usual. Guest act this month is Johnny Marks, still popular after many years in the Country music scene.  Special day for my dear wife Susan as 24th is her birthday. Got a dedication for her of course.  Hope to see many of our friends there.

Saturday 23rd I will be at Narborough Village Hall with the British Caravan Club.  Always a good time and always made so welcome.

Following week I meet up again with Evie and her friends at Prince Henry Place, Downham Market . Really love these people.  Then on Saturday 6th April, once more back at Bruisyard with John and Theresa.  Have met some wonderful people during my time as a singer and these two are no exceptions.

Busy April coming up. Post to follow xx

Great night for the Irish

Had a great night with The Irish Society of East Anglia at The Holiday Inn, Norwich Airport.  The event kicked off with Irish dancing with some youngsters of all ages displaying their dancing skills to an appreciative audience. The youngest was just four years old.  I hope to put some video on soon.   Then a 3 course dinner followed by entertainment from yours truly before a break for raffle.  My second set was preceded by Hughie O'Sullivan on his accordian and a few jokes . Love ya Hughie, as did everyone.  Finished at 12.30am with many still there. Overall a lovely night, well organised and a pleasure to be involved with.

Met one of my Canary greats from around 1985 when Norwich City FC won the then, Milk Cup.   Mark Barham, who still has a role within the club.   My thanks to Marcus and Tara for booking me for their St Patricks Dinner Dance.

Coming up on Saturday 16th March at The Holiday Inn, Norwich Airport, Cromer Road is The Irish Society St Patricks Dinner Dance.  Anyone who wishes to join in the Celebrations can contact Tara or Marcus on 01603 754904 for further details . The event will be in the Halifax Suite and includes a 3 course meal, Irish Dancers, then yours truly for 2 sets in the middle of which will be a raffle.

This weekend

Saturday has me returning to The Kessingland Working Mans Club.  8.15pm.  Lovely big room with decent size dance floor complete with bar for hot and cold drinks and snacks. Saturday nights here are normally more upbeat than Sundays, so expect lots of Sixties style music which this crowd seem to love.

Then on Sunday, my own club event at The Wensum Valley,  Pat James and friends,  sees the welcome return of Rob Charles.  Usual start time of 3pm.  Many of our regulars now enjoy a lovely carvery fom mid day before settling down to the music.  Nice bar menu as well for those who prefer to have food during our break at 5pm.  Look forward to seeing our many friends at this lovely venue. x
