Guest Act for Pat James & Friends Club March 24th

Pleased to announce our Guest act for March 24th as Johnny Marks.    Will be pleased on a personal level to meet up with Johnny again after performing with him many years ago at Jubilee hall in Loddon in a Charity gig organised by Dick and Eileen Bloy of R & B Entertainments.   Johnny still enjoying his music at the age of 72 and still living in Mansfield with Wife Pat, in his home of over 40 years now.  Hope many of our regulars and perhaps a few others can come along on March 24th at our usual venue at The Wensum Valley Country Club, in Beech Rd, Taverham, Norwich.  Anyone travelling a distance may want to consider that a Carvery is available from Mid day to 2pm and being a lovely Hotel can be booked for an overnight stay.  Music starts at 3pm and finishes around 7.45pm.    Look forward to another fab day out.

Great start to 2019 at Pat James & Friends Club

Had a smashing gig on our first month back at the Pat James & Friends Club last Sunday
. Guest act Brian Mann always a very popular choice for our club and a crowd of 91 turned out for what proved a lovely afternoon and early evening of mainly Country style music with a few sixties thrown in.  Hope this type of support continues throughout the year. Always a great atmosphere and a fun time as well meeting up with all our regulars, many travelling a fair distance and some even staying the night at this lovely venue.   Thank you all for your friendship and support.   Bobby Graham and Ann not able to be there as they both had bugs. Wish them both well soon.  Maggie and I together with club volunteers Ray, Norma, Colin and Cheryl do our best to make it a great experience you will want to repeat.  Love to all x

Must just mention

Had the pleasure of singing at a Birthday Party held at The Wensum hotel and Golf Club

On Saturday 12th Jan for two of our friends Daphne and Roger.  A lovely occasion supported by so many of their friends and relations.  I was joined in providing entertainment by local act Ricky Solo who is certainly part of the future when this old fella packs it in.

The occasion was made even more Special by Daphnes decision to provide a raffle and a donation box to support The new Independence Unit at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital to which Roger owes his life.  Daphne, bless her, pledged to double whatever sum the raffle raised which turned out to be nearly £700. With notable and generous donations from family members, the total sum raised was over £3000. A wonderful result and a great way to celebrate a birthday.   Lovely people caring so much for others welfare. Absolutely brilliant and so pleased to have such kind and caring people as our friends.
