Pat James & Friends Club

Had a great time at our March event with over 80 people attending .  Our guest this month was Gordon James who has been with us since Maggie and I started the club in 2010.  Looked like we were losing Gordon this year as he has plans to retire to Scotland, but things still a little up in the air with family matters. We wish him well in his decisions one way or the other.   Either way, he will always be welcome at our club.     We had another singer joining us for around 20 minutes in Ricky Martin. a local lad who does a great deal of busking in this area.  Most of our crowd loved him and enjoyed his rendition of Unchained Melody,  Saturday Night at the Movies, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Dont Close your eyes, and a more modern "Perfect" from Ed Sherran.   Well done Ricky. We look forward to seeing and hearing more of you.

Local act Marc James also came along and did a guest spot which was enjoyed by all. Thanks Marc. Appreciated.

It was concerning however, that for the second month running, the sliding doors were closed.  With more people coming each month, it is important that the doors are open more often than not, as we had agreed with the Wensum Valley management.    Maggie and I have now been assured that the sliding doors will be open for our next event on April 15th when the very popular Kevin Barry is our guest performer . This should allow more dance floor space and ensure a more comfortable environment for us all.

Thanks to you all for your continued support. See ya soon x
